Where is Domburg
Domburg is located in the west of Zeeland, about a two-hour drive from Utrecht. It’s officially a town, but it feels like a cozy village. In the past, Domburg was an elegant seaside resort, a legacy you can still see in the vacation homes and the Badpaviljoen, a beautiful building from 1883 perched atop the dunes. Nowadays, Domburg is a true family beach resort and perfect for a beach vacation in Zeeland with kids.

Beaches
When visiting Domburg with children, you’re likely mainly interested in the beach. And we understand why, because there’s plenty of it! Wide, clean, rarely overcrowded, and with a blue flag for clean swimming water for decades. From May 15 to September 15, lifeguards are present on weekends, and in July and August, they’re there daily.
The location of Domburg, at the foot of the dunes, is perfect. Most accommodations are within walking distance of the beach. As for amenities, you’ll find outdoor showers, toilets, and playgrounds. Every few hundred meters, you’ll encounter a beach pavilion for ice cream or a hearty meal. Recommended ones with kids are De Oase and Stenen Toko, both open year-round.

Other things to do
The area around Domburg is excellent for cycling, and you’ll find an extensive range of rental bikes at the bike shop in the village.
Is it a cloudy day? Go swimming at the swimming paradise at Hof Domburg holiday park. Visit one of the nearby historic towns, such as Veere and Middelburg. Dining out is excellent in Domburg, and most restaurants are child-friendly. Of course, you can also dine on the beach, but you’ll find plenty of restaurants, sandwich shops, and ice cream parlors in the lively center.
