Facilities include a small minimarket for fresh morning bread and two family-friendly restaurants serving local specialties like mussels. With the beach just 3 kilometers away, a swimming pool isn’t missed, but a subtropical one is a short drive away. Nearby Sportcentrum Westenschouwen offers various activities, including tennis, bowling, and mini-golf, with a kids’ club available in peak season.
Bike rentals allow for exploring the scenic surroundings, with options for regular or electric bikes and family pedal cars. Mountain biking enthusiasts will enjoy the dedicated trails at De Boswachterij nearby.
Our Bungalow at Landal Resort Haamstede
We enjoyed a spacious four-person bungalow equipped with all the comforts you could wish for. Each bungalow has been tastefully refurbished, featuring a cozy blend of wood and light colors, offering a welcoming ambiance that feels far from standard.
Inside, there’s a comfortable seating area, a well-appointed kitchen with modern amenities including a dishwasher and microwave, and the convenience of a washing machine and dryer. A large dining table provides the perfect spot for leisurely breakfasts. On sunny days, opening the patio doors allows for outdoor dining or barbecue sessions.
The bathroom didn’t disappoint, boasting a sunshower, sauna, and a generously sized bathtub. The bedrooms offer ample space and cozy box spring beds, ensuring a restful night’s sleep.

Wat to do from Landal Resort Haamstede?
Schouwen-Duiveland, the northernmost peninsula of Zeeland, offers attractions suitable for visiting in all seasons. The Kop van Schouwen, its most western part, stands out as one of my favorite family destinations in Zeeland.
We often explore Boswachterij Westerschouwen, the largest forest in Zeeland, perfect for hiking and cycling. Adjacent to the forest is a dune area, with the expansive North Sea beach on the other side. It’s ideal for enjoying brisk walks in spring or autumn and soaking up the sun while building sandcastles in the summer. The width of the beach ensures you’ll find a quiet spot even during busy periods.
Schouwen-Duiveland boasts numerous child-friendly attractions and charming towns. We’ve enjoyed visiting Deltapark Neeltje Jans, exploring the historic town of Zierikzee, and embarking on scenic boat trips over the Oosterschelde in search of seals.
For adventure seekers, there’s aTreetop Adventure, and with abundant water nearby, water sports opportunities abound. Families with older children will appreciate a visit to the Watersnoodmuseum.
If you’re keen to explore beyond the immediate area, you can reach nearby towns like Goes or Middelburg within a half-hour drive from Landal Resort Haamstede.
